What Los Angeles surfer doesn’t lament the
spring and summer winds as the valley heats up and
draws the cooler ocean air into the suburbs leaving
us with blown out conditions throughout most of
the daylight hours?

This was the largest surf anyone has seen in a decade.

This series of articles chronicles the
life of the reef from start to finish. I'm sad to
report that nothing ever came of the project. We
probably would have had a better reef if we threw
a million dollars in pennies into the sea.
